Abstract
This article describes the design and implementation of a system developed for the monitoring, supervising, and controlling the water distillation process, using a programmable controller and an SIEMENS brand touch panel, in addition to the Industrial Ethernet TCP/IP communication protocol. This system stores information collected from the process in a database created in SQL Server 2005. The graphical interface of the touch screen allows the visualization of the most relevant data and variables and generates reports in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. This system has been oriented to be used as a tool to help administrators understand the production and operation of the Injectables area and make decisions by analyzing the reports.
