Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, version 3.4.0.3. All authors must register in the OJS platform with their personal information, although only one will be responsible for correspondence. No author may submit or have two manuscripts under review simultaneously.
• Original articles must not exceed 5,000 words (excluding the reference list), while review articles must not exceed 6,000 words (excluding the reference list). • Footnotes must be in Times New Roman, size 11, single-spaced. Manuscripts must be submitted in Word format for PC, and the file must be anonymized in the “File Properties” section so that no author identification appears. • Manuscripts must be submitted in Word format, single-column layout, 1.5 line spacing, Times New Roman, size 12 font, letter-size paper, and 2.54 cm margins on all sides. • For section titles and subtitles, bold font must be used without numbering. Italics, not quotation marks, should be used to highlight key terms within the text. Bold font is reserved only for titles appearing within the body of the text. • Each paragraph must begin with a first-line indent of 1.25 cm. • When the article includes tables or figures, they must be placed exactly where the author deems appropriate, but never as appendices. • Statistical analysis: It must take into account the level of the different variables involved in the research process. The statistical analysis should address each variable in a technical, qualitative, or quantitative manner. • Tables, Figures, and Graphs: Figures must be numbered consecutively. Similarly, tables and graphs must have independent numbering. Each table, figure, or graph must be accompanied by a caption that clearly describes the material. Titles must accurately reflect the content of the information. Figures and images must be original works of the author(s). If they are modifications or reproductions from another article, permission from the corresponding editor must be included. Graphs, tables, images, and other visual elements must be included within the body of the text in an editable format or attached in the original software in which they were created.
• The reference list must be formatted with 1.5 line spacing, a hanging indent, and organized alphabetically by the authors’ last names. When referencing the volume number of a publication, Arabic numerals must be used instead of Roman numerals. All authors cited within the body of the article must appear in the reference list at the end. Authors who are not cited in the text should never be included in the references, and vice versa. • The document must include a minimum of 20 references, with at least 70% of them published within the last ten years, and each cited article must include its DOI. • Submitted articles must be original or review papers and must not be under evaluation by any other publication. • The result will be communicated within a maximum period of four months after the closing date of the call, through the communication channels of the RECIHYS Journal:recihys@espe.edu.ec, ecabezas@espe.edu.ec • Repository Policy: Once published, the article will be available in the ESPE institutional repository, https://repositorio.espe.edu.ec/; in addition, the author may also include it in another repository of their choice. • The publication standards to be used are those of the American Psychological Association (APA), latest edition.
