Resumen

This article offers a comparative analysis of the Log-Distance propagation models, Ericsson 9999 and Walfisch-Ikegami, in mobile telephony systems operating in the 1940 MHz band (LTE) through power intensity measurements in order to compare and establish which of the models fits the characteristics inside of ESPOCH university. Initially the base station was located, then 40 radial limits were drawn in the surroundings of the base station and 3 campaigns of power intensity measurements were carried out with the mobile application Network Cell Info Lite in a total of 444 points. With the points obtained, an average of the measurements of the three campaigns was made, the propagation losses were calculated to obtain the theoretical reception power of each propagation model. In order to evaluate which model best fits the measurements, a comparison of measured power values with respect to the theoretical power values of each model was carried out. Finally, it was concluded that the Ericsson 9999 model with frequency correction factor is the one that has the best fit to the rural environment of Natural Resources Department.
