Author Guidelines

The work must be original and must be sent through the OJS platform of Maskay journal. The submitted file must be in Microsoft Word® format and must be prepared according to the format defined by the journal (download here). You can include graphics, tables, photos, maps, plans, among others, as long as they are within the maximum page limit of the document. If your work includes an interactive application, it must be registered as an additional file. Articles may be sent in Spanish, Portuguese and English and will be published in the language in which it was sent. The length of the articles should be between 8 and 10 pages. The articles submitted to the journal should use for their structure and references the format defined by the IEEE for Conference Proceedings. An important variation of format in Maskay journal is the inclusion of the title, abstract, and keywords in two languages. If the article is written in Spanish or Portuguese, it is recommended that the additional language would be English.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The work has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted to another magazine (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the editor).

  • The file sent is in PDF format and it does not exceed 10 pages.

  • Title, abstract and keywords in two languages have been included.

  • Format of the text : a)The text has simple line spacing. b) The font size is 10 points. c) Italics is used instead of underlining (except URLs) d) All illustrations, figures and tables are inside the text, in the right place and not at the end of the whole.

  • Web addresses have been added for references where possible.
