Device for measuring blood pressure on the Android platform for mobile devices
Main Article Content
Abstract
This project presents a device for measuring blood pressure implemented on the Android platform for operation on smartphones and tablets. The implementation consists of software and hardware, and the device measuring method is based on the oscillometric technique. The software considers the graphical user interface, the programming algorithms, and the module's operating logic, all executed in JAVA as a programming language. The hardware comprises a micropump, a solenoid valve, and the Android IOIO as a control and data acquisition card. Together, these elements allow the automation of blood pressure measurement. The device gives the patient a measurement of their blood pressure (systolic, diastolic, and mean). In addition, it allows you to have a record that is stored on your mobile device.
