The "International Journal of Structural Engineering" began its publication in 1996 as a need to have outstanding articles in the field of Structural Engineering, in Spanish. In particular, it is intended to stimulate the publication of articles on: Hazard, Vulnerability and Seismic Risk; Structures with seismic isolators or energy dissipators; Steel and reinforced concrete structures; Seismic strengthening of structures, among other topics. The journal has been in existence for 26 years and has managed to position itself among researchers in Latin America; this is how it started publishing two numbers per year and now 4 numbers are published regularly.
