Abstract

Social networks have had a great impact on business advertising through the internet. This paper we show the importance of advertising strategies on Facebook for the positioning of a brand in the Ecuadorian market. For the analysis of Facebook commercial pages, machine learning techniques such as logistic regression with an accuracy of 76.37% and decision tree with an accuracy of 75.40% were used. The research was based on the posts of the 50 most successful brands in Ecuador and used the collective collaboration technique to label the posts and train the model. The desired result was to predict the interaction a post will receive on Facebook and facilitate the creation of advertising strategies and brand positioning in Ecuador.
