MANAGEMENT MODEL FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF THE ARMED FORCES IN DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT IN ECUADOR

Abstract
During the 21st century, the Armed Forces of Ecuador have played a fundamental role in risk management, with their direct participation in coordination with the different technical work groups in support of the National Secretariat for Risk Management.
This article evaluates the impact of the participation of the Armed Forces in the management of disaster risks in Ecuador after the earthquake of April 16, 2016, actions that are part of what is dictated by the Constitution of the Republic of 2008. With Based on the evaluation of the intervention by the military units in support of risk management, the impact of their participation and the effects generated in Ecuadorian society are analyzed in order to propose for the Armed Forces. Armed in risk management.
